Re-Introducing Musique's Poetry

2008 was a pivotal year for me. I was a senior in college and I had not yet accepted that I was Black and Queer. I hadn't began deconstructing Christianity so I was straddling the fence and being a hypocritical bitch! Twitter and Facebook had become rivals to Myspace, BlackPlanet, and College Club. Blogging had already taken off in 2004 and I was privy to what blogs were about, but I did not think I had what it takes to start a blog. I would post random notes on Myspace and Facebook but nothing major.

I used Google 360 and other platforms to discuss religious ideals which revealed internalized homophobia! Initially wrote under the name Hershey's Kiss during this period. I had gotten super religious in order to cover up my sexuality. During that time I had expressed a crush on one of my college classmates, which I admit I made super awkward unnecessarily. That particular crush confronted me one day about how I moved concerning my crush and my self hatred for me.

My ego was bruised and it made me rethink everything about myself. It was at that point that I began to do internal work and began accepting myself and deconstructing somewhat. I first started blogging under the name "Confessions of a Preppy," I wrote about my journey in self acceptance and just figuring me out. I made sure to stay away from religion as I wanted to reach more people and not always be churchy. I followed some Gay blogs as at the time I thought I was just a gay man. As I grew in blogging, I urged for a rebrand and started creating a new name and brand based off my life experiences at the time. I wrote about politics, LGBT rights, and my emerging sexuality.

One night I decided to go with the name Musique's Poetry. I had been listening to "Keep on Jumpin'" by the group "Musique." I liked that song and I love the French language. I tried Musique's Poetry on the Blogger platform. That site is actually still up. I didn't really know what I was doing, but thankfully I studied and researched and even learned some tips from The Queen of Shade and the Luckey Star. It was a process but I finally got the hang of it.

There I wrote about my love life, family dynamics, my transition and sometimes movie reviews. During this run of Musique's Poetry I learned trans history from the late Monica Roberts and I followed a host of Black Queer Bloggers. During this time I also started the now defunct "The Black Male Nudist." It served as a porn outlet for me, but I started a journey in nudism and I changed my views and let the blog go. As I grew personally, Musique's Poetry grew. Subscribers and Co-authors came and help boost the blog.

While my Youtube career blossomed, the blog continued to grow. The Luckey Star was a great mentor during this time. They were one reason why I stepped away from adult content for while. They also advised me to self host to better monetize my blog. I thought about it and did my research. I started off with bluehost, but due to hosting adult content, I moved to Hostgator. I continued blogging. I gained some interviews with notable people. I even had some collabs. During this time I kicked off my podcast career and I linked the blog and the podcast together.

I continued blogging until 2020. Due to the pandemic and life changes, I put the blog to rest. I continued to blog on sites like Vocal.media, Patreon, and Substack. After much consideration in 2025 I decided to re-launch my blogging career. I used my stage name for the url, but I was already considering bringing back Musique's Poetry. Well as of October 12, 2026 Musique's Poetry is back and in full effect. However, there's a new fragrance and a new attitude.

This rebirth of Musique's Poetry is for Black Transwomen who are sexually liberated, spiritually and ready for the revolution! This blog is for people who stand with Black community and not just the ones you deem acceptable. This is a safe space for those who are sex positive, those who are nudist, and those with eclectic taste.

This iteration of Musique's Poetry will express various aspects of my life. I will discuss relationships, gender, politics, and whatever comes to mind. I will also share my deconstruction journey. Since the blog is called "Musique's Poetry," I will include poetry from time to time. I have a dedicated channel for my adult content. There will be a Nudist channel coming soon. I will also have a separate video channel for the podcast. The Adult channel is called "Musique's Playroom." It is membership based for $8.99. The forth coming Nudist Channel includes non-sexual nudity and nudist adventures. I will also include a podcast channel for bonus podcast footage. Be on the lookout for updates on the forthcoming channels.

I’ve grown over the last 6 years and I have really discovered much about myself. This blog is for liberated people. This space is a safe space!

Now let’s get this party started!!!
